Julie’s Yoga journey began in 2008 when she stepped into a yoga class at a fitness center. She soon began to notice the additional benefits to the practice besides just the physical and decided to become a 200 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) in 2012. She is passionate about yoga and firmly believes that it is supportive, transformative, joyful, and fun. She believes that yoga is a great way to teach a person nothing in life is constant except change and that the practice a person has today will be different from the practice they have tomorrow. Julie wants her students to have fun during the practice. She likes to emphasize safe alignment, but also realizes that every body is different, and that each pose will look different in every body.
After receiving hr 200-RYT, Julie has gone on to be certified in Prenatal Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga for Cancer (Y4C), Yoga for Amputees (Y4A), Pranayama, and is a certified Urban Zen Integrative Therapist (UZIT). In addition, she is a Level 2 Reiki Practioner. She is currently completing her 300 hour RYT training and is enrolled in a Reiki Master training program.
