Jesse has a Bachelors degrees in Exercise Physiology and a Masters in Occupational Therapy. She is a 200 Certified Yoga Teacher and a Certified Hand Therapist.
Jesse began her yoga journey eight years ago while searching for another means of exercise. After spending most of her college and graduate school life as an over-exerciser, recovering from an eating disorder, she tried yoga. Since that moment she has slowly and steadily been traveling down a new path of self discovery with the help of her yoga practice.
Jesse loves to keep herself busy by participating in a variety of extracurricular activities. In the past this has led to her feeling overwhelmed, overworked and just plain exhausted. Earlier this year Jesse started to explore the ideas and benefits around restorative yoga. What she has found during this exploration is how restorative yoga provided her with the tools and space to notice where she was holding tension in her body. She started to utilize restorative postures in combination with breathing techniques and noticed she could improve her sleep patterns, decrease feelings of anxiety and locate a place of calm within herself. This practice has made such an impact so quickly on her day-to-day life that she is excited to start sharing this practice with others in her community.
